Park City Culinary Institute has a new opening for an Office and Kitchen Manager. This is a great way to break into a fast-growing and fun business with operations in Salt Lake City and Deer Valley

Kitchen Management
– Organizing the kitchen and rotating the food, making sure everything is properly labeled
– Managing inventory of kitchen equipment and supplies, making sure everything is properly stored, labeled and re-ordered as needed
– Purchasing food and equipment online, through distributors and from stores
– Hauling supplies and running other errands
– Running laundry, helping with dishes, tidying up restrooms and taking out garbage
– Coordinating with plumbers and maintenance
– Filing and organizing the office
– Preparing class materials such as student rotations for chores and attendance lists
– Compiling data into Excel
– Organizing and printing recipes for upcoming programs
– Manage calendar of upcoming classes, confirming staff, equipment and food needs
– Assisting with larger classes as a Teaching Assistant

The schedule will include a mix of daytime (9am-5pm) and evening (2pm-10pm) shifts. Must be able to work flexible hours when needed, including occasional overtime and weekends

$33k Base Salary and Benefits include Paid Overtime + Paid Holidays + 2 Weeks’ Vacation

Light meals are often included when class is in session. All mileage beyond commuting to our two locations will be reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate. Fast-growing business with opportunities for growth, including commissions and bonuses

– Attention to detail including proper grammar and spelling
– Proficient with computers and technology including Excel and Word
– Ability to work in two locations including Salt Lake City roughly 90% of the time, and Deer Valley roughly 10% of the time
– Bachelor’s Degree or Culinary School preferred but not required
– Food and beverage experience a plus
– A car is required, 4-Wheel drive is preferred
– Must be 21 or over to pick up liquor
– Must be able to lift cases of liquor, soda, water and similarly heavy items

About Park City Culinary Institute
Located in Salt Lake City with a second location in Deer Valley, Park City Culinary Institute offers popular cooking classes and events. Our signature 2-Month Certificate program is shorter and more affordable than traditional culinary schools. The program is led by award-winning Chefs who have managed or owned notable establishments.  Classes include professional techniques for both cooking and baking, as well as artisan crafts such as how to make cheese and charcuterie, cure salmon, and bake breads and bagels. The program appeals to entrepreneurs, career changers, home entertainers and recent graduates of all ages, from 18 to over 60. Alumni interested in a career work at some of the hottest restaurants in the area from the St. Regis and Ruths Chris Steakhouse in Park City, to Log Haven and Copper Onion in Salt Lake. The school also hosts Team Building Events and Private Cooking Parties. As the sole Food and Beverage provider of the Deer Valley Club, the school features Chef Table Dinners in our private dining facility, as well as catering in private homes.
