2018 Kids and Teen Summer Cooking Classes

Kids and Teen Cooking Classes

All classes are held in Salt Lake City, at our new teaching kitchen located at 1484 South State Street. Included with your class are recipes, ingredients, and all the tools you will need. There is no minimum experience necessary. Closed-toe shoes are required.

Seats are limited and sell out quickly so book now to reserve your spot.

CLASSES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
If you are unable to attend class, you may have a family member or friend come in your place.

Kids Camp: Culinary Passport

June 11-15th, 9am-12pm

Ages 8-12

Share your love of cooking and build your child’s confidence in the kitchen with a cooking camp they’ll never forget!

This hands-on cooking camp will be held Monday through Friday from 9am to 12pm. Campers will learn kitchen fundamentals (how to measure, mix, sauté, grill, follow recipes, and practice kitchen safety) while learning how to cook delicious foods from around the world! Each day we will introduce a different country and learn a few of their classic dishes!
 
 

Monday: Italy – Campers will learn how to make homemade ravioli and make their own sauce
Tuesday: China – Campers will make orange chicken and vegetable fried rice
Wednesday: Mexico – Campers will make homemade tortillas, chicken quesadillas, and fresh guacamole
Thursday: Thailand – Campers will make chicken satay with their own sauce and pad thai
Friday: France – Campers will make crêpes with both savory and sweet fillings

Teens Camp: Culinary Passport

June 11-15th, 1pm-5pm

Ages 13-17

Share your love of cooking and boost your teen’s confidence in the kitchen with a culinary experience they’ll never forget!

This hands-on cooking camp will be held Monday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm. Students will learn kitchen fundamentals (knife skills, how to measure, mix, sauté, grill, follow recipes, and practice kitchen safety) while learning how to cook delicious foods from around the world! Each day we will venture into a different country and learn a few of their classic dishes!

Monday: Italy – Students will learn how to hand make gnocchi and different homemade pasta sauces
Tuesday: China – Students will make pork dumplings, kung pao chicken, and vegetable stir fr
Wednesday: Mexico – Students will make chili verde, authentic garlic rice, frijoles de la olla, and homemade flour
tortillas
Thursday: Thailand – Students will make chicken satay, pad thai, and thai curry
Friday: France – Students will make French onion soup, creamy au gratin potatoes, and crêpes

Kids Camp: Bakeshop

August 13-17th, 9am-12pm

Ages 8-12

Spark your child’s creativity and build their confidence baking in the kitchen with our one week Bakeshop!

This hands-on baking camp will be held Monday through Friday from 9am to 12pm. Campers will learn kitchen fundamentals (how to measure, mix, follow recipes, and practice kitchen safety) while learning how to make delicious baked goods.

 
 
 
 

Monday – Campers will learn how to make homemade pizza
Tuesday – Campers will make stained glass cookies, jam thumbprint cookies, and cake butter cookies.
Wednesday – Campers will make bagels, German pretzels, and two dipping sauces
Thursday – Campers will make homemade cupcakes and decorate them with piped frosting
Friday – Campers will make fruit cobbler and shortcake

Teens Camp: Bakeshop

Tuesday: Cookies – Students will make cake butter cookies, jam thumbprint cookies, whoopie pies, and snickerdoodles
Wednesday: Bread – Students will make New-York style bagels, scones, and biscuits
Thursday: Cupcakes and decorating – Students will make homemade cupcakes and decorate them with piped frosting
Friday: Pies and tarts – Students will make perfect pie dough, fruit tarts, and savory galettes
