Chef Jess Everson

Chef Jess Everson at Park City Culinary InstituteShortly after graduating high school Jess made the move to Las Vegas to attend Le Cordon Bleu. His passion for food stems mostly through this creativity and his need to constantly experience new flavors. After graduating culinary school and working in Las Vegas for a couple of years he moved back to Salt Lake City to be closer to his family. As a young and eager line cook he quickly grew through the ranks to become a head chef by the age of 24. After years of working in restaurants, Chef Jess knew he needed to share his passion and knowledge of food with other people so he joined the Park City Culinary Institute team

Chef Jess teaches the Cuisine Certificate and Professional Certificate in the Culinary Art courses at Park City Culinary Institute.

In his spare time, Chef Jess enjoys being physically active. From the outdoors to the soccer field he loves anything that lets him stay moving. He also enjoys chasing his children around the house or barbecuing for family and friends. You can also find him on the river with a fly rod or around the fire pit enjoying a margarita or glass of wine. He can be spotted at the local cheese market or buying sweets at the nearest bakery. Ask his mother and she will confirm his favorite food has been chicken wings from a young age as well as anything to do with bacon.

Some of his favorite subjects to teach include braising, grilling, flavor development, plating techniques, and how to remove the fear from cooking. He loves to laugh and make cooking fun.
